Google tried to get me killed...

I am taking the Acela train down to New York for Web 2.0 Expo this evening, so I generated gmap directions to calculate what time I should leave the office. I noticed that the directions included a few icons suggesting they had street view pictures, so I decided to check them out.

Most of the street view photos were fairly boring shots of exit ramps, but this one caught my eye:

This New York Times article about the culture of online trolls is both fascinating and disturbing. It's really about the sad ironies of human suffering. Pain begets more pain. It all makes me sad.

iPhone 2.0 - Two Weeks Later

I've been using the iPhone 2.0 software on my 2G iPhone for a couple of weeks now. It's time for a check in on how things are going.

The iPhone 2.0 software is slow - as in molasses running uphill on a January morning. And it's not just me. I'm sure there will be an update that will speed things up a bit, but it really is disappointing that this software made it out the door in the first place. Apple has made a clear error in judgement here. Fail.
