In a recent post, I complained that Summize doesn't provide trend charts. Chuck sent me a link to Flaptor's Twist, which does.

Twitter Sentiment Analysis

Check this out. It's a Summize sentiment analysis of Twitter mentions of the word "Drupal".

It shows that at this particular moment in time, sentiment for Drupal is "swell". Not quite as good as "great", but better than "wretched".

Loving Ecto Even More

Mike Potter brought my attention to the ability of Ecto to set input formats when publishing to Drupal. Very nice.

You go to ecto > settings > weblog > format and voila!

It's nice to find tools that work the way they are supposed to.

Getting Ecto Set Up with Drupal

At the urging of Jay Batson, our CEO, I finally broke down and got Ecto set up with Drupal. I had to enable the Blog API module, but things seemed to work just fine after that.

It seems to work pretty well so far. The image uploading is nifty, and the WYSIWYG and tagging functionality seems pretty good. Having all that HTML or even Markdown markup in your posts makes it harder to read.
