Openads Becomes OpenX - Drupal Powered Site Looks Mighty Fine

Open source advertising software leader Openads rebranded themselves as OpenX this week. They recently raised $15.5 million in their “B” round, and it looks like they are expanding their business into more services, including a hosted version.
Fastcompany.com Goes Social with Drupal
The new version of Fast Company that James Walker of Lullabot mentioned in January has now gone live and it’s been Techcrunched.

This site is a great illustration of the kind of “social publishing” that I was talking about in yesterday’s post. It is a blend of traditional content publishing, community/user generated content, and social networking.
The Industry Standard Magazine Rides Again on Drupal
The Industry Standard magazine is back as an online only, oh-so-social-media-infused news site implemented with Drupal.
For those of you who were around for the first dotcom era, you may remember the Industry Standard as the “the newsmagazine of the Internet Economy” and head cheerleader for Bubble 1.0.
